The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is an enhanced remake of The Secret of Monkey Island developed internally by LucasArts and released on 15 July 2009. The remake was announced on the first day of the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo along with the episodic Tales of Monkey Island. The Special Edition features new character art and hand-painted environments in the style of the original, presented in 1080i widescreen (1920x1080 resolution). It also features a re-recorded and re-mastered score, and the principal voice artists from The Curse of Monkey Island read the previously unspoken lines, with Dominic Armato as Guybrush, Alexandra Boyd as Elaine, and Earl Boen as LeChuck.
The interface itself is streamlined, hiding the verb table and inventory that previously took up the lower part of the screen. These, including the nine-option verb table from the enhanced editions of the game, can be pulled up as a menu, while verbs can also be selected by cycling through pre-set commands. Another new feature is the three-level hint system, which (at the third level) presents a bright yellow arrow showing the player where to go. The developers also added a close-up of Spiffy, the dog in the Scumm Bar, that was deleted from the original versions due to space considerations, despite appearing on the back of the box.
It is possible to switch between the 256 color enhanced and the new version of graphics without interrupting the flow of the game. This also switches between the original MIDI soundtrack and the remastered score with ambient sound effects, and the loss of voice-over work for the original version.

The Secret Of Monkey Island 2 - LeChuck's Revenge
LeChuck's Revenge is set in the fictional Tri-Island Area of the Caribbean, several months after The Secret of Monkey Island. The game opens as Guybrush Threepwood hangs on a rope above a hole, narrating to Elaine Marley on a separate rope the events that led to this situation. The flashback sequence starts on Scabb Island and constitutes most of the playable game's setting. During it, Guybrush also visits Phatt Island, Booty Island, and Dinky Island, voyaging on two different pirate ships.
Guybrush's story begins with him talking to two pirates and telling them about the time he defeated LeChuck. He further tells them that he is looking for the treasure of "Big Whoop", and for a ship to take him there. The pirates tell Guybrush that Largo LaGrande, LeChuck's ex-henchman, has placed an embargo on the island. Guybrush, with the voodoo-doll that Voodoo Lady gives him, defeats Largo. However, in trying to prove that he was the one who killed LeChuck, Guybrush makes the mistake of showing Largo that he has LeChuck's beard. Largo steals the beard and uses it to resurrect his old patron. After the Voodoo Lady tells Guybrush that "the only way to stop LeChuck now lies only in the secret of Big Whoop", Guybrush continues his quest in search of this treasure.

To those of you who have trouble running "The Secret Of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge" on new operating systems, download this program (Only 4 Megabytes):
Run "scummvm.exe" and click on "Add Game", choose the folder which contains the game's files and click "Choose" and then "Ok". From now on you just have to run the program and double click on the game's name. It's a virtual machine for old Lucasarts games (and some other great adventure games). Hope this helps, guys :)
