Description
InPainting Made Clear :The Human Body in Oil,you will learn how to paint the human body with accuracy, depth, and expressive realism. This course is designed to guide you through a variety of studies and complete projects, each focusing on different aspects of human anatomy, from individual body parts to full figures. We will work from both male and female models, as well as from the legendary statue of David, allowing you to explore the subtleties of muscle structure, skin tones, and the interplay of light and shadow on different surfaces.
You’ll start with targeted exercises on smaller subjects such as hands, legs, torsos, and backs, developing your control over form, proportion, and tonal variation. These studies will prepare you for larger, more complex works, including the painting of a woman seen from the back, a seated figure, a muscular male model, and finally, the iconic statue of David.
Each step is broken down into clear, manageable stages. I’ll guide you through color mixing, brushwork, and layering techniques so you can achieve realistic textures and harmonious transitions. You’ll also learn how to convey volume, depth, and atmosphere without overcomplicating your process.
This course we focus entirely on the execution of the human form. This allows us to dedicate all of our time to mastering anatomy, proportions, and surface rendering, ensuring that you develop the confidence and skills to tackle any figurative subject in the future. By the end, you’ll be equipped to paint the human body convincingly from head to toe, bringing life and character to your work.
