Course Description
This course is designed for students who completed ESL Immediate courses in Reading, Writing, and Hard and Soft Skills Levels 1 and 2 in Business English. In this course, students will use the knowledge they have already learned from identifying skills from Job descriptions from previous courses. Students at this level will not only learn how use Job Descriptions to identify and highlight Hard and Soft skills that are listed as part of duties, responsibilities, requirements, and skills, but also define each Career job. For example, who a Medical Assistant is and where the person works. Students will use Job Descriptions that they find in Newspapers or Job websites to find Hard and Soft as their Homework assignments and bring them to class for discussion.
In addition to this, students will complete a Research Assignment by finding Job descriptions for different Career Jobs, defining each career, write down the responsibilities, Hard and Soft skills, and a list of resources that they use for the assignment.
This will help students to acquire the knowledge through Lectures, class discussions, and research on different qualifications, requirements and skills that are needed in order apply for a Career job.
At the end this course, Students will master how to acquire Hard and Soft skills that they need to fulfill the requirements and sharpen their skills that might lead to employment into a Career Job position.
