Boston Blackie

A most unusual read. It is worth the time since the story is about a criminal, Boston Blackie, who in Robin Hood fashion works to punish the worst offenders to uplift the other criminals that treat each other in a more equitable fashion. It is interesting how this character was modified as movies and radio shows turned the character into one assisting the forces of law and order and censoring the depiction of this "hero" as a true thief. It is worth the read just to laugh at the whole story.
