There are as many ways to win as there are to lose when trading financial markets. But is there anything special that distinguishes consistently successful traders from the rest of us? And if so, is it something anyone can learn?

Through my own long and often painful journey to success in trading, I found that the answer to both of these questions is Yes – winning traders share a unique set of habits and mind. It’s a kind of DNA that they all have in common, with no exceptions.

But this particular DNA doesn't come naturally. That’s because it’s actually the opposite of what most of us would consider natural behaviour. But it happens to be the very key to success in what is the hardest game in town: trading. So to be successful we must develop this DNA for ourselves. It’s made up of what I call The 3 Pillars.
