The Nursery Alice is a bite-sized version of Lewis Carroll's famous classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, written specifically for smaller children. It is accompanied by beautiful illustrations from reknowned illustrator Sir John Tenniel. Carroll's Preface intends that this book is “to be read by Children aged from Nought to Five. To be read? Nay, not so! Say rather to be thumbed, to be cooed over, to be dogs'-eared, to be rumpled, to be kissed . . ." Caroll delightfully explains each picture to the reader and asks questions to coincide with the stories.
