No Regrets: An American Adventure in Afghanistan by David Kaelin
English | November 18, 2013 | ISBN: 1494223813 | 414 pages | MOBI | 1.50 Mb

No Regrets is a look at the War in Afghanistan from the perspective of a Civilian Contractor. Dave Kaelin is a Veteran of the Cold War era US Army. He'd been out of the Army for a little over a year when the Twin Towers fell on 9-11. No Regrets is part history lesson, part culture lesson and an attempt to explain what life in a war zone is like for civilians working with the US Military. Dave attempted to add levity to sometimes insane situations in the book. You'll learn and laugh reading No Regrets. War Zones are no laughing matter. Yet, if you are living and working in one, you laugh or you lose your mind. The majority of the book is about Dave Kaelin's work advising the Afghan National Security Forces. He served from 2007 to 2010 with the Afghan National Police while living on an Afghan National Army based called Camp Zafar. As of December of 2016, Mr. Kaelin is back in Afghanistan working with the Afghan National Special Security Forces as an Advisor.
