Description
This is an introductory course on Scilab for Beginners. Scilab is a free and open-source alternative to MATLAB. In this course, you will learn the basics of using Scilab. First, I will demonstrate the graphical user interface of Scilab, and different menus and commands. Then you will learn about the following:Data Types, Constants and Variables in Scilab.Arithmetic operations in Scilab.Matrices and Determinants. This knowledge can be used to solve matrices, find the inverse of a matrix and solve various math problems involving multiple unknown variables.Matrix Operations.Plotting Bar Graphs in Scilab.Using Latex to put Special Scientific Symbols on Scilab plots.Solving Linear Equations in Scilab. Then I will show you how Scilab can be used in Control Systems Engineering. Finally, I will introduce XCOS Modelling and Simulation with a complete step-by-step simulation example. This course is useful for the following types of students:1. Looking for a free alternative to MATLAB2. Engineering students looking for software to solve matrices and perform matrix operations.3. Students of Control Sytems Engineering4. Students are looking to plot professional quality scientific plots.5. Students who want to write research papers and want to get some experimental results and plots.
