Description
Every day, we are exposed to various symbols, from something as basic as a circle, to something as complex as the Seed of Life. We are surrounded by symbols and many times, we do not even realize what we are seeing, let alone the meaning behind it. Symbols are rooted in human experience and carry powerful meanings and have been utilized since the beginning of time.Sacred geometry and symbols play an important role in spirituality. These symbols are graphical representations of thoughts, ideas, and beliefs throughout all types of spiritual and religious theories in all cultures. They convey concepts of humanity’s relationship to the universe, divine, God, or the holy as well as the social and material worlds. Sacred geometrical symbols are considered and thought to be ancient science that explores energy patterns that create and unify all things. This course will expose students to the basic symbolism of each symbol and the symbols within each symbol. While the course is not a deep dive into the mathematics or physics behind each symbol, the student will understand the basic concepts of each symbol and how it can be applied to their spiritual path and interactions with the symbol in everyday life.
