Description
This course includes many strategies, examples and techniques for successfully integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and courses. The course begins with introductory information about AI and then progresses through general AI integration strategies to specific examples of activities, assignments, policy development, creating content and Open Educational Resources, and custom GPT and chatbot design. This course will be useful for college and K12 instructors, professors, teachers, instructional designers and administrators who wish to learn more about AI in education. The course is taught using free resources that can be used by educators and students in a non-technical way. No programming or advanced technical skills are needed. No previous experience with AI is required. The course includes a free copy of the instructor's book, on AI for Educators along with other free resources to help educators with AI integration including infographics, AI policy template, sample prompts and access to the instructor's custom GPTs and Chatbots. There are also step by step instructions for producing your own custom GPTs and Chatbots along with a special custom GPT that helps you write your own chatbot prompt. The instructor will share his experiences with integrating AI into his college classes since 2022 with the goal of helping other educators with successful AI integration into their teaching and courses.
