Description
This course intends to support viewers in receiving clear and accurate information about the internal female genitalia including understanding anatomy, the cervix, fibroids, uterine polyps, endometriosis and anomalies. The intention is to raise awareness on the topic among those who may be concerned about a lack of knowledge of their own anatomy or potential issues, as well as receive further information on existing diagnoses, or a general increase in knowledge for professional use. This course is delivered by Dr Chiara Frendo-Balzan who graduated as a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery in Malta in 2005 and practised for two years at St Luke's Hospital before relocating to the UK for 11 years to attain international exposure and further qualifications in Ultrasound. She worked in several hospitals in South Wales, the UK where her work led to a specialisation in the field of contraception and reproductive health including a Diploma in Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health as well as a European Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.Dr Frendo-Balzan continued her specialisation in Ultrasound and is now a senior tutor on online Ultrasound courses, international Masterclasses and Train the Trainer programmes.Her extensive work in Women's Health has paved the way to read for a Master's degree in Leadership and Management in Healthcare giving her insights into healthcare systems and organisations, as well as employee and team dynamics.She has also published various works within Obstetrics and Gynaecology, including co-authoring of a preparatory textbook in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is keen to share her extensive knowledge within the health care community.Dr Frendo-Balzan is an approachable and open-minded professional who has the patients' well-being at heart.
