In this book we will consider all types of Special Forces. The first part is devoted to the history of the creation of such troops in the USA and the other countries.

At present it is difficult to find a more fashionable word concerning law enforcement agencies and departments than "Special Forces". They write a lot and talk even more about fighters of Special Forces units of the army, internal and border troops. In this case, it usually refers only to operations of Special Forces soldiers, but not about how they are able to solve tasks that are inaccessible to the bulk of the military.
In this book, we will sometimes use the phrase "spetsnaz", which means Special Forces in the territories of the former Soviet bloc and part of Europe.
