Historical Eras: Important Time Periods in World History

This is a unique, giant combo book with a number of topics in it. The topics are the following:

Black Death: Hundreds of millions of people got wiped out by rat infestations spreading insanitary bacteria, resulting in the disease and death of huge parts of the European population in the mid-centuries.

Crusaders: The Crusaders is one of those dark chapters in history that we would rather forget especially religious people. In name of the church, or other religions, like the Muslim faith, people killed, destroyed, looted, and burned cities to the ground.

Gilded Age: The Gilded Age was a period in American history that covered the late 19th century, from the 1870s till around 1900. The Gilded Age was a period of great financial development in the United States, specifically in the North and West.

History of India: The history of India is long and complex. It dates back to thousands of years before Christ, according to historical analysts, and it involves wars, peoples, different spiritual movements, claims of independence, merging of empires, and cultural aspects.

Hittites: The Hittites were mentioned in the Bible. They were an Anatolian people that contributed to creating a kingdom in Kussara before 1750 BC, the Kanesh or Nesha kingdom between 1750 and 1650 BC, and finally an empire based upon Hattusa in north-central Anatolia around 1650 BC.

Inquisition: Perhaps you have heard of the horrible stories of the Spanish, Portuguese, or French inquisition, the Catholic body of persecutors who would arrest the supposed “heathens” and accuse them of witchcraft, heresies, blasphemy, adultery, and other sins.

Middle Ages: In the history of Europe, the Middle Ages or middle ages time period lasted around from the 5th to the late 15th centuries, likewise to the Post-classical period of worldwide history.

Renaissance: When we think of the Renaissance, we often think of paintings. And indeed, many painters and sculptors were part of the artistic transformation the Renaissance caused.

Sumerians: The Sumerians were the people from Sumer, the first recognized society in the historic area of southern Mesopotamia (now southern Iraq), developed throughout the 6th and 5th centuries BC.

The Great Depression: We all know about the Great Depression. Many people dread a second one, and especially since it was one of the major events that inaugurated World War 2, with a number of other causes that contributed to it.

Viking History: We all have a typical image of Vikings, from the horns on their helmets to the beards and the clothes they wear. Their ships have a certain charm, and their reputation is that they were brutal, raw, and believed in multiple gods.
