Guide to Programming Perl 6

Perl 6's string support, particularly Unicode support, is unrivaled in the industry. Perl 6 is aware of graphemes and combining codepoints, unlike Go or JavaScript, and unlike Python, Swift, or Elixir, Perl 6 can access arbitrary graphemes by position in constant time, rather than iterating over every grapheme to access a specific one. Custom Unicode operators and two Unicode identifiers are permitted. Perl 6 includes a number of Unicode operators (with ASCII fallbacks) for set operations and equality tests, Perl 6 includes Perl's regexes with a few changes, including increased Unicode support, rearranging modifiers and reassigning some symbols, and improving whitespace rules.
