Description
This part of the “Digital Technology & Transformation course”, is part IV (Managing & Executing Digital Transformation projects”, which is the last part of this integrated course, focused on the project management side of Digital Transformation projects and systems. It is intended for professionals Interested in managing these projects and for engineers and technical managers, who want to know more about the requirements for execution and management of these projects. It follows parts I, II & III, which covered; an introduction to this technology & projects, which covered applications in over twelve sectors and part III focuses on architecting and designing these complex solutions. This part shall help participants in mastering and understanding the underlying project management techniques, methods, and tools, needed to manage Digital Technology & Transformation projects. It explains the two main methods; the IT method and the Engineering method. It also discusses modern project management approaches, such as Rapid, Scrum, and others vs conventional methods, such as Waterfall and CPM. This part has ten lessons, each ending with a quiz. This part also explains the difference between the “engineering” way vs the “IT” way in managing these projects and the characteristics, requirements, and pros & cons of each. It also discusses, QA/QC issues, managing testing and site works, HSE, Change Management & Risk Management. It also explains different project management services such as project control, cost control, QA/QC, procurement, and reporting. It also discusses typical project team composition and job definition of main positions.The course discusses also risks and challenges and gives very important tips for the successful management of such projects, based on over forty years of experience in automation, IT, and Digitalization, besides teaching the same in academia. This part shall help you manage Digital Transformation projects successfully beside prepare newcomers to become project management professionals and staff in this challenging  “Digital Transformation era”.
