Description
There has been a lot of hype on Organizational Culture, especially post pandemic, when many Organisations, and Institutions, are realising how critical it is to have a sustainable and robust culture, to fully realise the power of its people !So what exactly is Organizational Culture ?It is a shared sense of Values, Beliefs, Standards, Attitudes, Behaviour and Legends/Folklore, which provide a strong sense belonging, community, and a sense of pride, and higher meaning, or purpose, in this belonging.A good Culture is a win-win for everyone concerned. Your employees are happier, more engaged and motivated, and therefore more productive. They work better, and generate more revenue, and provide better service. Your customers are happier, sales and repeat sales increase, and so Management is happy too ! A good corporate culture is able to attract good talent. Happy and engaged employees stay longer, so employee turnover is reduced, which in turn increases business stability and performance, and reduces cost. This helps the Board of Directors, and Stockholders too, by indirectly contributing to the top and bottom line, and probably even stock prices !Building, or changing, an Organisation’s or Institution’s culture is not easy, it is a slow and gradual process. But there are some tried and tested methods, and strategies, based on good research, which can foster the right climate, and bring in the right ingredients, to build a good and strong corporate Culture.I will be covering 4 or 5 primary components of Organizational Culture in this Course, as well as the research behind them, and how Leaders and Managers can use these research findings to develop them in the right direction.
