After the end of the Wuhan Battle, China's war of resistance entered a stage of strategic stalemate. Speaking of this war, it is an unjust war for Japan; for China, it is a just war against the brutal aggression of the Violent Day. This determines the final outcome of the war. However, as far as the current situation is concerned, the enemy is strong and we are weak. This is definitely a long-term battle, not a generous light.
Just say that in the early winter of 1938, after the first Nanyue military meeting, Chiang Kai-shek lew away from Hengshan and went to Guilin for inspection. It was not until December 8th that he lew from Guilin to Chongqing and of icially began his career as the capital.
Chiang Kai-shek stayed at the Chongqing Xingbattalion, Chairman of the Military Commission, that day. The location of the camp was near Chuqimen in the south of Chongqing city (from then on, Chiang Kai- shek's activity site in Chongqing, as well as the "Yaolu" at No.101 De'anli in Zengjiayan and the "Lin Garden" at Gele Mountain in the western suburbs). The next day, under escort, Chiang Kai-shek and Soong Meiling took a ferry to land at the Haitangxi Wharf on the south bank of the Yangtze River, and took a car to Huangshan Villa.
Huangshan Villa is located on the Cangshan Mountain across the river from Chongqing.
This mountain belonged to the Zhenwu Mountain series, but because of the private villa of a wealthy businessman named Huang on the top, it was later commonly called Huangshan. Although the mountains are not too high, the valleys are quiet and beautiful, the forests are lush, misty, and the terrain is complex. The location of the villa is even more concealed, and it is not easy to spot the air raid. To be on the safe side, an air-raid shelter was dug near the Yunxiu Tower where Chiang Kai-shek lived and worked in case of emergency.
