Книга присвячена одній з малодосліджених сторінок історії Перших визвольних змагань 1917-1920 рр., зародженю та ровзитку української військової авіації. На підгрунті архівних джерел автор ретельно дослідив стан національних військово-повітряних сил за часів Центральної Ради, Української Держави гетьмана П.Скоропадського, Армій УНР та УГА. Видання супроводжують числені кольорові реконструкції українських вояків та літаків.

The book is about one of the little explored pages of the first liberation movements in 1917-1920, in particular the formation and development of the Ukrainian military aviation. The author has studied in detail the archives describing the condition of the national Air Force during the times of the Central Council, the Ukrainian State under Hetman Skoropadskyi, the Ukrainian People's Republic Army, and the Ukrainian Halychyna Army. The publication includes numerous colour reconstruction of planes and uniforms of the Ukrainian warriors.
