Beyond Disfluency: The Interplay of Speech, Gesture, and Interaction

The aim of this book is to explore the ways in which the different dimensions may interact with one another to build the fluency, fluidity, or flow, of multimodal discourse, by targeting different languages and types of situations.

This book comprises six different chapters, which all target both theoretical and methodological issues regarding the multimodal and multidimensional status of fluency, as well as its place in linguistic research.
