From the table of contents: Basic Terminology; Nuclear Properties; Nuclear Models; Collective Excitations (Nuclear Vibrations, Nuclear Rotations); Alpha-decay (Fine Structure of alpha-decay); Beta-decay; Gamma-ray Emission; and more.
These are notes based on lectures given by D.Cullen at the University of Manchester Jan-June '08.
Nuclear Properties
There is no simple theory which encompasses all nuclei: many models work in different situations. However, we can characterize nuclei by a relatively small number or parameters; such as radius, electric charge, mass, binding energy and energy of excited states.
