The Highlander's Triumph (The Stolen Bride Series)

This is book 5 of the stolen bride series and if you haven't read the other four books than I would highly recommend it. The story starts out with one of the big events from book 4. I loved the lead character Brandon both in this book and previous installments. Mariana was charming and full of life as well. She is a different sort of lead character for a historical romance since most tend to be virginal. However she is a mistress to the English King and has been the mistress to the French King as well as engaged in relations with several other men. She was sold into this life by her family at the age of 15 so it was not a chosen lifestyle on her part. Brandon has also had a troubled past and struggles with his own demons. They make a great match and must fight for their happy ending. Good book and I would recommend it along with the rest of the stolen bride series.
