Tits Buildings and the Model Theory of Groups (Repost)

This book consists of two parts. The first part contains general introductions to Tits buildings, their geometries and the related classical linear groups. It is directed at researchers and graduate students with a n interest in one or more of the areas of geometry, group theory and model theory. The second part of the book surveys recent developments in model theory, explaining in particular amalgamation methods which have produced examples and counterexamples in group theory and geometry.
