+ Web of Spider-Man Issues #1-2
is the name of a comic book series starring Spider-Man published by Marvel Comics for 129 issues between 1985 and 1995. It replaced as the third major Spider-Man title of the time. After #129 in October 1995, the title was renamed and started again at #1. After four issues of Web of Scarlet Spider, the series was cancelled to make way for the new title. In October 14, 2009, Web of Spider-Man relaunched with issue one having a Kaine centered story written by J.M. DeMatteis, as well as a Spider-Girl story by Tom DeFalco with art by Ron Frenz and still another bonus story. Issue #3 as with the previous issue ties in with the new storyline "The Gauntlet" with the origin of Rhino, written by Fred Van Lente with artist Nick Dragotta whose granular style very reminiscent of Jack Kirby perfectly enhances the origin story. These are big, double-sized comics, with another bonus Spider-Girl story.
His name is The Rhino, and when his will is set, there's no one he can't run through to get the job done. If Spidey manages to survive the first wave of the Gauntlet, he won't want to as The Rhino stands ready for him next. Webhead Wonder Fred Van Lente and Super-Spider-Star Barry Kitson bring you The Rhino's history through the Rhino's own eyes as he gears up for the dropdown-all-out slugfest of the year in next month's Amazing Spider-Man! Over, in the pages of the Spectacular Spider-Girl, May Parker stands against the cult of the Goblin, while April Reilly will find herself allied with the last person you'd expect. And finally, a look at the honeymoon that has swept the globe catches us up with Aunt May and her new husband, J. Jonah Jameson Sr.! --
