Having been featured by a variety of comic book publishers over the years, the origins of the comic strip fictional crime fighter operating out of the African jungle created in 1936 by Lee Falk was retconned by Moonstone in 2006 and that series ran for 26 issues with 2 annuals. Last year (2008) Moonstone re-launched the series as starting with Issue #0, a retelling of the the origins of the character as based on Falk's comic strips. Issue #3 is the 3rd and final part of the initial story arc entitled, "End War."
Ripped from today's headlines, the End War comes to its violent climax. Kazi has found a way to kill The Man Who Cannot Die, and with The Phantom out of commission, who will put an end to The Cleansing? Plus, the serialized Phantom prose back-ups continue.
