The Good, The Bad and The Ugly #1-2 (Ongoing)

It's not to often that movies get made into comics after the movie has been out there for a few years. Here is what MTV had to say about this official movie-to-comic adaptation: "Clint Eastwood’s iconic Man with No Name rides again in this brand new story by writer Chuck Dixon and artist Esteve Polls. I don’t care what you say about Dirty Harry, folks— and the rest of the “Man With No Name” films were Eastwood at his cigar-chompin’, squinty-eyed best. Well, you'll say right away it would be hard scripting a main character who hardly speaks. But in issue #2 the art, and the slow, deliberate development by writer Chuck Dixon (of G.I. Joe fame) makes you feel as if the story was lifted right from the movies and. It definitely reads with a cinematic style and pace clearly reminiscent of Sergio Leone. You can almost hear that haunting, taunting theme. Great stuff.

From the classic movie, the Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! The Man with No Name rides again, this time under the veteran hand of writer Chuck (G.I.Joe) Dixon in a brand-new Dynamite series! After delivering his bounty last issue, the Man is on a new trail, one the leads to a $5000 bounty for Miles Devereaux, a thief of epic proportions....

Incidentally although this is the first official movie adaptation of the classic Sergio Leone Western starring Clint Eastwood, Dynamite has been publishing another ongoing Western based on Eastwood's eponymous character, entitled series which is currently up to issue # 11 and which as no surprise, yours truly has already posted in Avaxhome.
