The Avengers: United They Stand Complete (1999-2000)

comic book series by Ty Templeton and Derec Aucoin was published to accompany the animated television series pf the same title. The animated series itself, consisting of 13 episodes, was based on the Marvel Comics superhero team The Avengers and originally premiered on October 30, 1999, produced by Avi Arad and distributed by 20th Century Fox Television. It was later canceled on February 26, 2000. The animated series features a team based on the roster for the 1984 The West Coast Avengers, composed of the Wasp, Wonder Man, Tigra, Hawkeye, and Scarlet Witch. The comics series lasted only seven issues, from November 1999 to June 2000 due to poor sales but not for lack of quality. The artwork for one, though admittedly cartoonish to reflect the animated series, is surprisingly prescient in its treatment, presaging current trends.
