Skaar is the son of the Hulk and the Shadow Warrior Caiera, conceived during the storyline. Last June 11, 2008, Skaar began appearing in his own ongoing series, initially titled, "Skaar Son of Hulk" until issue #12. Beginning with issue #13, the series became simply "Son of Hulk."
