Cette série très bien faite est l'histoire d'un professeur génial qui invente un androïde (Protéo) qui peut changer de forme (comme Protée) pour ressembler à un quelconque être vivant. Cet androïde fonctionnant sur batterie, il a une autonomie limitée. Un extra-terrestre (génial) lui implante une pile atomique, lui fournissant une autonomie illimitée, d'où son nom Protéo
