(real name Kara Zor-L, also known as Karen Starr) is a DC Comics superheroine, making her first appearance in All Star Comics #58 (January/February 1976). After going through various iterations and developments amidst DC Comics Universe upheavals (Power Girl is the Earth-Two counterpart of Supergirl, the first cousin of the Pre-Crisis Earth-Two Superman and a member of the Justice Society of America), which brought about a confusing mess of conflicts and in continuity, the new ongoing series will clarify these conflicts and specify her present official powers and abilities with a retelling of her formal background, re-establishing Power Girl's secret identity as Karen Starr, and reaffirming her cult status as the Blonde Superheroine with Big Boobs--err... with The Best Bosom.
