Marvel's Siege Storyline Complete

is an American comic book cross-over storyline published by Marvel Comics that ran from January 2010 to May 2010, although its prologue issues were released in December of 2009. It deals with the aftermath of the company-wide storyline, which led to a shift of power in the Marvel Universe toward Norman Osborn, a former supervillain who, through deception and media manipulation, has become the United States' security czar, and how the Asgardian trickster deity Loki, intending to send Asgard back to its native realm, manipulates Osborn to lead an all-out assault to overthrow Asgard. Marvel announced in early 2010 that the events in will lead to the subsequent company-wide storyline, . The main Siege story ran as an eponymous four-issue miniseries, with connected one-shots and associated miniseries, as well as crossovers into existing ongoing series. It was branded by Marvel as "A Story Seven Years in the Making." Certainly Marvel has done a fine job of knitting its entire line together into a cohesive and propelling forward narrative, no doubt helped by outstanding creative work done in titles like Thor, Avengers. Iron Man and Captain America--where independent storylines are maintained yet somehow conforming to a coherent whole--from its new breed of talented and imaginative creative teams. Elsewhere in Avaxhome (see my blog below) I've posted the earlier issues that form part of this compilation, but certain unavoidable circumstances prevented me from continuing; I'm trying to pick up where I left off. There are 40 issues in the Siege storyline: 2 4-issue main mini-series; 9 one-shots; and the remaining 23 scattered among multi-issue tie-ins with then-existing ongoing titles. As evident below, the issues in the storyline are sequentially numbered in a suggested reading order. The storyline itself is divided into 6 bulk archive packs, corresponding to the month of release. The first pack consists of the Prologue issues released last December 2009. The second pack starts Phase 1, the third pack Phase 2, and so on. Phases 1 and 2 are two-part RAR archives so you'll need both parts in order to extract. Phases 3 and 5 of Siege are each divided into discrete Parts A & B. Phase 5 part A shows the climax of the storyline and Phase 5 Part B consists of the Final and Epilogue issues. As you may note, I've included . If it's all a bit confusing at first just go with the month of release and you'll be fine. : All issues included, with the exception of the introductory and (which is itself a high-quality DCP scan), are high quality Minutemen scans, many with multiple variant covers.
