Marvel's Annihilation Saga Compilation Complete

aka is a Marvel Comics crossover storyline highlighting several relatively under-used outer space-related characters in the Marvel Universe from 2005 through 2007. The series was piloted by Keith Giffen, with editor Andy Schmidt. Annihilation started with a 48-page one-shot issue entitled which was released on March 15, 2006 and then followed by four 4-issue mini-series: (April 1, 2006), (April 12, 2006), (April 19, 2006), and (April 26, 2006). The event concludes with a 6-issue limited series entitled , bringing the four stories together, and a Post-Annihilation 2-issue mini-series, entitled . The limited series (September 28, 2005) was a prelude to the event. Even before the prelude, however, the 12-issue miniseries featuring the cosmic villain as title character, served to lay down the bases for the events of the Annihilation Wave. The principal character of the storyline is the cosmic being Annihilus. I first encountered him when I bought my one and only (#6) decades ago. As depicted therein he was a being with vast powers by virtue of a so-called Cosmic Control Rod and obsessed by power and conquest at the same time paranoid about his space which is the Negative Zone. It was only very recently that I chanced upon the Wikipedia article on him (reading which nearly made me dizzy) that my interest was piqued. Apparently, Annihilus does not just subjugate those he conquers--he annihilates them; hence, the title and the driving premise of the storyline. Many of the characters who appear in this storyline went on to feature prominently in other Marvel "Events", the most recent being the and its ongoing sequel . Some even started on their own series. I started collecting Minutemen scans of the storyline and had in fact completed compiling and uploading all four mini-series including the main six-issue limited series individually when a dude named created a torrent of the complete saga all from high-quality Minutemen scans less than a week ago. I obtained the 12-issue miniseries and the post-Annihilation 2-issue from his torrent. He has my gratitude and appreciation. The complete storyline is broken down below in the suggested reading order. itself consists of two story arcs, "Epiphany" (#1-6) and "Samaritan" (#7-12) but I decided to forego sorting them by story arc and instead archived all twelve issues as a three-part RAR archive. The two-issue post-Annihilation was likewise archived into a single-download RAR archive. If you may note all CBR/CBZ files are high-quality Minutemen scans. I hope to post the sequel to the storyline, soon.
