Classic Comics Collector's Series: Crypt Of Terror Complete
Eng | RS & MU | CBR | EC Comics | April-September, 1950 | 36.3 MB Total

was a bi-monthly horror and suspense comics anthology comics series published by EC Comics that became the precursor for the later more widely-known and popular . This title lasted only 3 issues, from #17 to #19, with cover dates April-May through August-September, 1950, when beginning with issue #20 it became the (in)famous . This complete collection is from a compilation torrent uploaded by the indefatigable and ever-generous bloodred1964 to whom, together with all the nameless scanners who labored to preserve these classic comics in digital form--thus keeping comics history alive, I give my sincere gratitude and appreciation. All three comics were scanned from reprints, although the covers in #17 & #19 were from original issues.
In 1950, publisher William Gaines and his editor Al Feldstein discovered they shared similar tastes in horror and began experimenting with horror tales in their crime titles. Tales from the Crypt traces its origin to a Feldstein story, "Return from the Grave!", in EC's Crime Patrol (#15, December 1949/January 1950) with the Crypt-Keeper making his debut as host. Issue #16 featured more horror tales than crime stories, and, with issue #17, the title changed from to . Due to an attempt to save money on second-class postage permits, the numbering did not change with the title, and continued as for the next two issues. The title saw its final form, , with issue #20, October/November, 1950. --
