Vanguard #1-6 [complete]

Vanguard is a Kalyptan, member of an alien race that serves as protector for the planet Earth. Acting somewhat like inter-galactic cops, they fight for the peace and freedom of all beings in the entire universe.

Along with high-tech guns and weapons that earthlings could never imagine, Vanguard possesses great strength and an alien suit that enables him to fly and speak our language. He also has a sidekick in Wally, a tiny robot drone with a personality all his own, Together they battle to protect Earth from any danger, a mission that can occasionally cause him to run afoul of other self-appointed protectors, including the awesomely powerful Supreme.

Vanguard was originally created over a decade ago for the comic Megaton, and was Erik Larsen’s first professional assignment in comics. Larsen has since become famous for his work on Amazing Spider-Man and Savage Dragon.
