    År 2017 fyller David Bowies banbrytande album Low 40 år. När albumet släpptes 1977 liknade det inget annat med sin kombination av elektroniska ljudlandskap och rhythm 'n' blues. Bowie influerades av kabarédekadens, droger, självdestruktivitet, kalla krigets stämningar och expressionistiska konstnärer.

    Skivan spelades in i Hansastudion i Berlin och på slottet Château i Frankrike och producerades av Toni Visconti. Bland musikerna på skivan fanns ikoner som Brian Eno och Iggy Pop.

    Albumet Low speglar det moderna främlingskapet och staden Berlin med sin mur, militärzoner, skotthål, nazistiska reliker och sönderbombade hus kastade ständigt skuggor över inspelningen. Så till den milda grad att Bowie tvingades uppsöka mentalsjukhus eftersom han led av paranoia och vanföreställningar …
