Director Kees Brienen plays himself in this meditative road movie in which the protagonist arriving in India learns that the friend with whom he wanted to see a solar eclipse, has died. Shocked and dazed, he undertook a long journey, who from the chaotic city bustle brings to the mountain village where he was the body of the deceased is. Aided by villagers that the last rites and dead on the hills wear Brienen accompanies his friend to his final destination.
