Thunderhead Engineering Pathfinder 2019.2.1002

Thunderhead Engineering Pathfinder 2019.2.1002 | 327.7 mb

Thunderhead Engineering has unveiled Pathfinder 2019.2.1002 is an agent based egress and human movement simulator, whitch provides a graphical user interface for simulation design and execution as well as 2D and 3D visualization tools for results analysis.

- Added antialiasing (multisampling) for improved visual quality.
- Added anisotropic filtering for improved texture quality.
- Improved background image quality.
- Added label to show the existing version of the software in the Check for Updates window.
- Adjusted width of numerical text boxes to be 3 columns wider so that numbers are not cut off.
- Fixed a bug that might cause stair rise/run to be displayed incorrectly in the 3D view if the stair was created with the one-point tool with a specified step count.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused a crash when door queues were updated.
- Fixed a bug where Pathfinder would not start on Windows Server unless Desktop Experience was enabled.
- Fixed a bug that caused manually entered data on the Rectangular Room tool to be ignored.
- Fixed a bug that could cause occupants to take the wrong path to reach double-deck elevators.
- Fixed a bug in the display of elevator occupants that could cause them to briefly appear to bounce.
- Fixed a bug where simulator output file names would not be properly generated from certain PTH file names.
Changes to Results:
- Added results visualization management that allows results settings to be saved to and loaded from disk.
- Added a feature to show and hide Pathfinder background images separately from imported geometry.
- Added antialiasing (multisampling) for improved visual quality.
- Added anisotropic filtering for improved texture quality.
- Added support for skyboxes.
- Improved Pathfinder background image quality.
- Fixed a bug where selected objects remain in the model after replacing a results set.
- Fixed reset to selected action doesn’t work when floors laid out horizontally.
- Fixed a bug that could prevent Results from starting with the message “The program can’t start because WMVCore.DLL is missing from your computer”.
- Fixed incorrect time estimate in Create Movie progress dialog.
- Fixed a bug where the Recent Files list might be cleared when starting Results.
- Fixed a bug where screenshots and movies might be look incorrect if FDS smoke or fire is active and the screenshot size matches the window size.
- Fixed a bug where Results might crash if add a 2D slice to a 3D slice that doesn’t exist in every mesh.

Thunderhead Engineering Pathfinder 2019.2.1002

Pathfinder is an emergency egress simulator that includes an integrated user interface and animated 3D results. Pathfinder allows you to evaluate evacuation models more quickly and produce more realistic graphics than with other simulators.

Pathfinder provides support for the import of AutoCAD format DXF and DWG files. Pathfinder’s floor extraction tool makes it possible to quickly use the imported geometry to define the occupant walking space for the evacuation model.

Pathfinder supports two simulation modes. In Steering mode, agents proceed independently to their goal, while avoiding other occupants and obstacles. Door flow rates are not specified but result from the interaction of occupants with each other and with boundaries. In SFPE mode, agents use behaviors that follow SFPE guidelines, with density-dependent walking speeds and flow limits to doors.

Pathfinder provides support for the import of AutoCAD format DXF and DWG files. Pathfinder’s floor extraction tool makes it possible to quickly use the imported geometry to define the occupant walking space for the evacuation model. PyroSim or Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) models can also be used to extract the walking space.

If you have a blueprint, it can be imported in GIF, JPG, or PNG format and then used as a background to help you rapidly draw your model directly over the image. Pathfinder includes human models that represent a range of cultures, ages, attire, and emergency responders. These make it possible to realistically portray the population group of interest. Because we use a dynamic level-of-detail to display the models, Pathfinder can smoothly animate tens of thousands of people in real time using a standard graphics card. Pathfinder also provides easy tools to create movies that document the results. Stairways and ramps are created using simple mouse clicks on landings. Optionally, stairways and ramps can be used to represent escalators and moving walkways (sloped or flat).

Pathfinder enables analysis for stadiums, hospitals, skyscrapers, aircraft, and other buildings. Learn how it performs against the competition.

Thunderhead Engineering Consultants, Inc. develops software, with particular expertise in building intuitive graphical interfaces for specialized engineering and graphics applications that have powerful physics models but are difficult to use. The engineers at Thunderhead Engineering understand modeling and simulation concepts, and also recognize the aesthetics and usability of a well-designed user interface. Both of these strengths are applied to our software development goals. Thunderhead Engineering is dedicated to providing powerful visualization and modeling capability to practicing engineers and technicians.
