The Acute3D team is pleased to announce the availability of ContextCapture Center CONNECT Edition Update 13 (version 4.4.13.514). With this solution, you can cost effectively produce 3D models of the most challenging existing conditions for use on every infrastructure project, using ordinary photographs.
ContextCapture Center CONNECT Edition Update 13 (version 4.4.13.514) - Release notes:
- Scan import now supports scans with unknown source position (auto detection of source position), and POD format.
- New types of tags supported for target autodetection: Chili Tags and April Tags.
- New quality metrics in block 3D view (camera and survey points colorization according to error, distance to input position).
- Improved performance and robustness of multipass aerotriangulation (now by default).
- Support of unicode path for input photos.
- Updated coordinate system database (HS2 NTv2, OSTN15, etc.).
- Survey points report: horizontal errors now detailed for X and Y.
- Color equalization: improved performances and bug fixes.
- Surface constraint import: support of DGN polygons and various improvement (SRS choice, etc).
- Reconstruction: image sharpness considered for texturing.
- Improvements on the overall software robustness/stability.
With ContextCapture, you can quickly produce even the most challenging 3D models of existing conditions for infrastructure projects of all types, derived from simple photographs and/or point clouds. Without the need for expensive, specialized equipment, you can quickly create and use these highly detailed, 3D reality meshes to provide precise real-world context for design, construction, and operations decisions for use throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Hybrid processing in ContextCapture enables the creation of engineering-ready reality meshes that incorporate the best of both worlds – the versatility and convenience of high-resolution photography supplemented, where needed, by additional accuracy of point clouds from laser scanning.
Develop precise reality meshes affordably with less investment of time and resources in specialized acquisition devices and associated training. You can easily produce 3D models using up to 300 gigapixels of photos taken with an ordinary camera and/or 500 million points from a laser scanner, resulting in fine details, sharp edges, and geometric accuracy.
ContextCapture Center is dedicated to larger-scale 3D surveying and mapping. It can handle an unlimited number of photographs and/or laser scans without any limitation in size, and allows computations to be parallelized on a cluster of 3D reconstruction engines.
