Over ten years after the movie was released and long since the original soundtrack has been out of print, Rhino released this compilation of songs from the 1982 teen cult classic Valley Girl. The movie was known for its killer soundtrack, so Rhino's release was welcomed by many who had searched fruitlessly for the original compilation. The soundtrack includes new wave faves such as Felony's eerie "Fanatic," the Plimsouls' earnest "Everywhere at Once" and the Flirts' pouty "Jukebox (Don't Put Another Dime)." Songs by Josie Cotton and the Payola$ also grace the album.
