Adolf Dado Topic, the key figure of the band, left Korni Grupa in mid-1971, moved to Zagreb and with help from Vladimir Mihaljek formed Time. The original line-up consisted of Topic-vocals, Tihomir Pop Asanovic - organ, Vedran Bozic - guitar, Mario Mavrin - bass, Ratko Divjak - drums and Brane Lambert Zivkovic-piano, flute. The eponymous debut album was released in summer 1972, ranking among the very first LP records of rock music issued in Yugoslavia at the time.
For prog fans the first album "Time" is highly recommended for listening. It is one of the best debuts in the former Yugoslavian rock scene and it influenced many generations of musicians.

This British progressive gem was in fact the work of the band better known as Spontaneous Combustion. Overseen by legendary Krautrock producer/engineer Conny Plank (who also worked with Kraftwerk, Neu!, Cluster and many others), Time originally appeared on the tiny Buk label in 1975, and makes its long-awaited CD debut here, complete with detailed background notes.
Their music is characterized by symphonic flourishes interspersed with angular guitar riffs, rapidly shifting tempos and extended instrumental passages in which to showcase their virtuosity. Time will likely appeal to fans of the heavier side of Yes and Styx.

During the years 1994-1996 Time-Life produced a CD & Magazine called "Grooves". Veteran New York City DJ Vin Scelsa was given full control of the project, and a total of 14 wonderful issues were produced. They each highlighted Vin's selections of the best tracks from the best new albums/artists of the time. In addition, the last track on every CD was a bonus acoustic track by one of the featured artists recorded in the studio just for "Grooves". It was the next best thing to listening to Vin's radio show, "Idiot's Delight".

The series was revived as "AM Gold" in 1995, with a different cover design (early volumes had an artist's drawing of a pocket transistor radio, with later volumes bearing a "gold record" with the year or era spotlighted emblazoned over the top). The first 20 volumes were re-titled issues of volumes from the former "Super Hits" series with identical track lineups, while new volumes covering the mid- and late-1970s (including individual volumes for each of the years 1974-1979) were included.
