Yngwie Johan Malmsteen (born Lars Johan Yngve Lannerbäck, 30 June 1963) is a Swedish guitarist, songwriter, composer, and bandleader. Malmsteen first became known in the 1980s for his neoclassical playing style in heavy metal, and has released 21 studio albums in a career spanning over 40 years. In 2009, Time magazine rated Malmsteen as number 9 among the 11 greatest electric guitar players of all time.

Parkway Drive’s digital deluxe version of their latest album IRE, is out today. For the first time in nearly five years, Virginia-based metal outfit Lamb of God is set to release a brand-new album. The album will serve as Lamb of God’s eighth studio effort overall and its first since 2015’s critically acclaimed VII: Sturm und Drang.

Lamb of God is the upcoming tenth studio album by American heavy metal band Lamb of God. The album was originally planned to be released on May 8, 2020, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will not be released until June 19. Lamb of God will be the first studio album of all-new material by the band since 2015's VII: Sturm und Drang, making it the longest gap between their albums, and the first to feature Art Cruz as the replacement of original drummer Chris Adler, who left Lamb of God in July 2019.

Glaswegian groove/metalcore act Bleed from Within have their fifth album impending release. With a five-year gap between ‘Uprising’ and ‘Era’, their last couple of albums, it was worth the wait as BFW significantly stepped up their game. Luckily, there’s only been two years between ‘Era’ and ‘Fracture’, and we were treated to the first single from this album at the end of 2019. It seems on ‘Era’ they found a nice run of form with their songwriting abilities and chemistry – perhaps with the arrival and influence of Steven Jones (also of From Sorrow to Serenity), now on his sophomore BFW album. ‘Fracture’ doesn’t stray too much from the quality or tone of the last record. It’s a solid effort – so if you liked ‘Era’, you’ll probably enjoy this one too!

The Florida-based band release its ninth full length album What The Dead Men Say through Roadrunner Records. "What The Dead Men Say is everything that is Trivium," explains Heafy.
