An internationally known pianist and conductor, Daniel Barenboim has toured with the Chicago Symphony and was the music director of the Orchestre de Paris for more than 14 years. His repertoire includes Beethoven, Mozart and Anton Bruckner symphonies.

"For me a sound vision is something for itself. Sound can be like that. In the beginning, I thought that I wanted to impose a woodwind sound with the piano, but that would have been a completely different organism, and the ideas would have gone in another direction. What I wanted here was the idea of a mirror of the piano sound modified by the percussion and harp, also the idea of echoes mirroring the same type of sonority. With the woodwind idea, that would have been totally different if not impossible.
