RuPaul - Remember Me: Essential, Vol. 1 (2017)

The surprise new album from RuPaul dropped right on time…just as a new season of Drag Race looms ahead! I'm happy to report that this album is a million times better than his last outing, Butch Queen. This album contains some new tracks along with remixed/redone classic songs from earlier albums. And by "earlier", I mean mostly the first couple of albums. The redone songs sound amazing and modern…of special note is "Remember Me/ Back To My Roots Medley". It takes a fun song and makes it deep and somewhat melancholy (now that Ru's mother has passed away, the song takes new meaning).
