Radioactive Man is the 2001 self-titled CD by Radioactive Man. In this case, Radioactive Man is the nom de plume of British DJ and electronic music producer Keith Tenniswood, who continues to make music now and forever, amen. This is an R.G.C. Records presentation.
At first listen a purely revivalist LP, Radioactive Man takes over a decade of UK techno from its intelligent era throughout the jungle days and revives it on nine thrilling cuts. Once the veil of familiarity has been torn, one also finds many new sounds and inspirations hidden in the background or upfront in the video-game breakbeat of Trespasser or the gentle flow of Goodnight Morton. While Plaid's sound evolved to an abstract neatness, Tenniswood still rummages through the underworld, the darker and acid sides of things with an uncanny enthusiasm. Let us sprawl!
