In his compositional work, Prins seeks to critique received convention, to break the framework of the usual, and dispose of aesthetic axioms. (Michael Rebhahn). This new KAIROS release combines ensemble works with the monumental Piano Hero cycle, performed by Stephane Ginsburgh. With a DVD and a CD, this release offers nearly five hours of music, including a performance of Daniel Linehans Hiatus dance ensemble, and recordings of Klangforum Wien and the Nadar Ensemble.
