The Indian General Elections, 2019 are expected to be held in April and May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. Therefore, Election commission of India has been continuously taking new initiatives to conduct free, fair and transparent elections in the country. One such initiative is cVIGIL app that empowers citizens to report any violation of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during elections. The app has inbuilt features to prevent its misuse.
