Formed in 2006 Hippie Tendencies have been gigging since then in Europe and America and have delighted their audiences worldwide with songs from their first self titled album. "Identity" is the band's second album. The subject matter is diverse and covers a wide spectrum, from the classic theme of love to reflections on today’s society. The melodies swing from a funk to a jazz atmosphere. Despite very different musical and cultural backgrounds the five musicians reveal an incredible cohesion and have given birth to an album which is energetic and engaging.
Identity is an album that displays a delicious harmony between the vocals of Lisa, the melodies, the arrangements and the lyrics of the various songs. It is a refined piece of work, elegant and with many varieties of sound, traveling from soul, to jazz and a captivating modern pop.
