Akiko Suwanai & Evgeni Bozhanov - Brahms The Sonatas for Piano and Violin (2024) [Official Digital Download 24/96]

Akiko Suwanai, one of the most talented contemporary violinists, will release her first new album in two and a half years, "Brahms: Violin Sonatas." Prior to the album, "No. 2 in A major, Op. 100, 1st movement" has been distributed.

This time, she will record Brahms' Violin Sonatas No. 1 to No. 3 with the talented pianist Evgeny Bozhanov, who will be performing with her for the first time. After a year of intensive rehearsals and a duo recital tour, the two recorded at the Robert Schumann Saal in Düsseldorf, Germany in October 2023.

Suwanai recorded on a 1732 Guarneri del Gesu "Charles Reed," and Bozhanov recorded on a Shigeru Kawai grand piano "SK-EX." Born from a strong desire to "create good music," this work exudes a unique depth.

The physical release will be in two formats: a limited first edition (SA-CD hybrid) and a regular edition (UHQCD). The SA-CD portion of the first edition will include Stereo (2ch) and Surround Sound (4.0ch).

In addition, a duo recital tour with Orion Weiss on piano will be held in six locations nationwide in September. They will perform "Brahms: Violin Sonatas No. 1 to No. 3," the same as the new work.
