Raquel Camarinha and Yoan Héreau began working together in 2012 and since then their desire to develop and deepen their collaboration as a duo has prompted them to embark on many new projects. They studied individually at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, after which, in 2016, they obtained together a master’s degree in chamber music with distinction, by unanimous decision and with the congratulations of the jury.

Though specialising in the French repertory of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, they do not neglect lieder, and pay particular attention to the music of composers of our time. Their interpretation of Poulenc’s La Voix humaine, given in France and on tour in Europe, was acclaimed
in the press as ‘a unique and outstanding performance, in which Yoan Héreau’s piano underpinned the drama with extreme finesse, in total harmony with the beautiful soprano Raquel Camarinha, a remarkable singer’ (Y. Sinno).

At the same time, both of them pursue their individual careers. Raquel Camarinha, nominated as ‘Révélation Artiste lyrique’ (Vocal discovery of the year) at the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2017 and the winner of prestigious international competitions, performs throughout Europe in a wide repertory, distinguishing herself particularly in the leading Mozart and Handel operatic roles. For his part, while playing solo recitals and in chamber music, Yoan Héreau works as a répétiteur on operatic productions, and has turned to conducting in the past few years. He conducted the ballet Little Match Girl Passion at the Opéra Garnier in June 2017.

Raquel Camarinha and Yoan Héreau give regular recitals in Paris (Théâtre du Châtelet, Salle Cortot, Salle Gaveau, Hôtel des Invalides, Opéra de Paris, Petit Palais, Philharmonie de Paris), elsewhere in France (Festival de l’Épau, Festival Messiaen, La Folle Journée de Nantes, Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, La Grange de Meslay) and abroad.
