"Brave New Woman" is the new and fourth Leslie Clio album. Previously, the singer and songwriter had founded her own record company, put together a new team and, in a self-liberating artistic process, wrote some of the most fascinating songs of her career to date.

"No one's gonna tell you how to move on / Except the girl with a gun", Leslie Clio sings in "Girl With A Gun", the opener of her fourth album "Brave New Woman" and thus outlines right at the beginning what this equally combative and self-contained album is about: for two years Clio has been looking for a record company that understands her vision, that reveals what the hell she is about with these new songs.

After all, artistic compromises were never planned here at any time. Every note, every line, every arrangement should end up sitting exactly where Leslie Clio wanted it, because it doesn't belong anywhere else. So Clio has founded her own label without further ado and is now releasing "Brave New Woman" herself – supported by a completely female core team. In this respect, the album is not least Leslie Clio's proud message to the world to always stand by his wife: "Stick to your guns", that was the slogan.
