This is the latest release from world-renowned jazz pianist Chihiro Yamanaka, featuring works by Bud Powell and Henry Mancini, both celebrating their 100th birth anniversaries, and a condensed version of his ongoing sound. Based in New York, Chihiro Yamanaka is one of Japan's leading jazz pianists and has released more than 20 albums since his debut in 2001, and has performed with such legends as Herbie Hancock and George Benson. She is a top artist who continues to perform at prestigious halls and clubs around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and Ronnie Scotts. This album is his first completely new recording in about a year since "Dolce Vita" (UCCJ-9243, UCCJ-2227) in 2023, featuring works by Bud Powell and Henry Mancini, whose 100th birthday will be celebrated in 2024, plus three new compositions written by Yamanaka himself. The new album features a diverse lineup, including three new compositions written by Yamanaka himself.
